ACID vs ALKALINE-
There is a lot of misunderstanding on Acid food and alkaline food and its impact on our bodies. Highly alkaline glands like pancreas(yes, its a gland) and liver are dependant on alkaline foods. The higher acidity levels of these juices irritate and destroy tissue of the pancreas and liver. 2 enzymes the pancreas makes to break down fats and fresh/raw enzymes are emphasized the most because heat destroys plants delicate enzymes. These enzymes are needed for digestion of Starches/Carbs, breaking down proteins, digestion of fats, protection against microbes and immune support. Foods that support are high anti-oxidant foods, raw fruits/veggies, healthy fats grass-fed Ghee, butter and avocados, fermented probiotic foods, RAW juices, ginger and many herbs. Utilize all food groups. There is never a one fits all answer, but the key to OVERALL health long term is what nature/God Provided. Food is medicine.
